Hip-Hop Artistes, Lynxxx and Show Dem Camp set to tour Abuja

Nigerian artiste, Lynxxx, will touchdown in Abuja this month for his Pepsi Album Launch and Promotional Tour. The launch will take place on May 14th, 2011, and will feature special appearances by Hip-Hop duo, Show Dem Camp (SDC), and established artists from the Record labels Finesse Entertainment And Play Records. This will be Lynxxx’s first visit to the capital with his Syndik8 producer, Ikon.

The Event will be managed by  Events and PR Managers, iBlend services, who have consistently delivered stellar events in the FCT.

As a new artist, Lynxxx has had the opportunity to work with a long list of music industry luminaries across Africa, fusing Hip-Hop and soulful R&B to produce what he terms ‘Jollof Music’. On his debut album, he collaborated with SDC, nominees for Best Duo/Group at the 2010 SoundCity Music Video Awards.

“I can’t wait to perform and introduce more people to my music,” says Lynxxx. “My Abuja fans have been looking forward to this launch and I am ready to give them the performance of a lifetime.”

About Lynxxx: Lynxxx is the flagship artist of the Lagos-based Syndik8 Records, a company he co-owns with his partner, Ikon. Following the success of his debut single, “Change Ur Parade,” released in Nov. 2009, Lynxxx went on to release his album, ‘This is Lynxxx’ in Dec. 2010 featuring Wizkid, Banky W, Naeto C, R2Bees, General PYPE and Efya amongst others. After an impressive run of three straight hit singles, soft drink giant, Pepsi, signed the young artist to an endorsement deal, making him the first African artiste to enjoy such an honor.

In 2010, Lynxxx received a nomination from the Nigerian Music Video Awards (Best Afro Hip-Hop) and the Dynamix All Youth Awards (Most Promising Artist). Besides his work as an artist and label head, he co-owns the Syndik8 Redroom Studio and apparel line, Syndik8 Denim.

About SDC: SDC is a Hip-Hop duo made up of Tec (Wale Davies) and Ghost (Olumide Ayeni). SDC has dropped 2 Singles (“Dreamers” ft. M.I and “Farabale” ft MayD) from their debut album titled “The Dreamers Project,” which will be released in May 2011 and features artistes such as 2 Face Idibia, Jaywon, Soundsultan, Lynxxx, M.I, Nneka, IBK and A1 to mention a few.

SDC also released a mix-tape titled “Clone Wars” in December 2010 as a gift to their fans, which has since received a lot of good reviews. The Hip-Hop duo will be on tour in Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, the UK and Nigeria in 2011. They have already performed as guests at the Nigerian idols, The Tiwa Works Annual Black Party, Industry Night at Tribeca, Felabration 2010 and many more.
