Mr. Eazi, Mayorkun, Sugarboy, Niniola, Tobi Grey, Koker & More Nominated for 2016 Top Naija Music Awards
A whole lot really seem to have happened in the Nigeria music industry in the year 2015/2016 that should make Nigerians proud, especially music lovers. Despite the recession, Nigerian acts have doled out singles and music videos for their teeming fans to enjoy.
The Top Naija Music Awards which has been running consecutively since 2012 and is now in its 4th edition, is proud to announce the nominees for the 2016 edition of the awards which is set to hold in January 2017 in Lagos.
Twelve fast-rising and hardworking artistes were nominated in the Artiste of the Year category. They include: Mr. Eazi, Mayorkun, Sugarboy, Niniola, Tobi Grey, Koker, Pepenazi, Dremo, Skiibii, TJan, and Temmie Ovwasa.
Voting is ongoing at www.topnaijamusicawards.com/vote and all nominees are already getting their fans to vote for them.
CEO of Top Naija Music Company, Paul Oghoghorie said: “We are excited to get the award going despite what is happening in the economy. Even with no support from any sponsor, we have still been able to push on. Our driving force are the music artistes from all over the world who even ask about participating in the award before we begin. We give God all the praise.”
While voting ends on December 24th, the results will be announced in a twitter event on December 26th. The award presentation will hold on January 7th, 2017at Lagos Oriental Hotel.
