Beef With Wizkid Was The Hardest Experience Faced – Saeon

She gained recognition through a controversial beef with award winning act and musical sensation,Wizkid.Seun Oni, popularly known asSaeonhas revealed that she got death threats during her feud with StarBoy’s Wizkid.Saeon who featured StarBoy Records boss on her track “Boogie Down“, claimed she paid Wizkid N1.5m for the feature and also to promote the song but all did not go well when the Baba Nlacrooner failed to tweet or promote the song.The whole feud with Wizkid is a thing of the past but Saeon felt the need to let her fans know that there was more to her silence than just seeking for peace. “I actually had a couple death threats and tons of negative comments sent my way. I pretty much was on my own. No one had my back. Not in public. I remember getting just 2 phone calls from a couple of people I considered as friends but majority didn’t say a word. It wasn’tlike they were obliged to but it would have at leastencouraged me. It was as though the entire industry was against me. It was one of the hardest experiences I’ve ever faced”.She continued saying; “The controversy never started out as a publicity stunt but happened to take place just before I released my first body of work, I AmSAEON – The EP, which was supposed to showcase my R&B strengths. Instead, it drowned in the controversy. To make things worse I had no support from the label as they held off completely from promoting me barely 5 months after signing me.”“I still have a lot to do and I work hard everyday to get to where I wanna be and even past it.
